Opening Our Door Again!
Admittedly, shutting down our business in March, adjusting to a sudden + lengthy closure, with no idea of what the future would hold, knocked us off our pins for a bit.
Fortunately, we were able to catch our breath + follow the advice of Socrates; “ The secret to change is to focus all of your energy not on fighting the old, but building the new.”
Looking forward + releasing the past helped us to forge ahead, one step at a time + re-imagine Supple in our brave new world. It is one that requires us all to put health and safety first, above all else. Safety has always been the foundation we built Supple on + at core of our credo from our start in 2011.
The Covid-19 pandemic has taught us all that an abundance of patience is needed to make our way through this time. Just think of all the changes you have made in the past few months - not just wearing a mask! It’s pretty remarkable, when you step back and take a look at how truly adaptable we humans are.
Businesses, schools + families have all been asked to create new pathways. We’ve been stretched to our limits at times, but we have also been inspired by the collaborative efforts + innovation of so many. Although the word pivot has been heavily overused :)
In our world of beauty + wellness, we had to really take a look at how we could move forward with caution, but also with confidence. We’ve had tremendous support from the great brands we work with + there has been an incredible exchange of ideas amongst our professional colleagues. A great deal has been given freely + received with gratitude via online classes, webinars, ZOOM trainings + good old fashioned phone calls.
Safe Beauty is the new beauty + you can trust that we can deliver it. We have educated ourselves + are Covid-19 Certified with diplomas to prove it! You can see the complete list of steps we have taken out our website to ensure your safety + our own. Rest assured that we have done our due diligence. We will adhere to the strictest guidelines put forth by ISPA ( International Spa Professional Association).
Gratitude has been the overarching emotion we have felt since March. We are grateful for our own health + wellbeing + that of all those we hold dear, family + friends.
We are especially grateful for the unending support of our loyal Supple fans ( YOU! ) who have helped us get to this place - one where we can return to the work we love + continue to serve our community.
We have been grateful for the businesses that partner with us. The relationships that we have established over he years, have sustained us now.
On a personal note, I have been so proud of my daughters during these trying pandemic days. Fiona as a young woman with Supple business to take care of daily, Theresa with a new baby (my darling Grand-Daughter Camila!) to raise while W.F.H. as a counselor at Oakland Tech High School.
Like my nieces Christina, Sashi + Nisha they have had to harness both their energy + their fear to keep themselves + their families safe. They have rolled up their sleeves to get the job done with purpose + strength. I am in awe of them + know that better days lie ahead because their generation is so impressive.
Things may look + feel a bit different when we see you next, but Supple remains the same welcoming, relaxed oasis you have come to know + love. Facials + massage are on pause until we reach Phase 3, but we are here to assist you, consult with you, help you with your Maskne (yep, it’s a real thing!) or anything you need.
